For replacing BA15s (#1156) single contact (level side pins) bayonet bulbs used in chart lights and reading lights. Red illumination is ideal for chart reading, safety or stand-by and mitigates blinding while navigating at night. Fixtures using the single-contact #1156 BA15s lamps are frequently found in older boats and RV's. Chart & reading lights in newer boats and RV's typically use the double contact #1142 BA15d LED bulbs .
